Mel is so well informed and very thorough on her courses, she puts so much work into the StorkandI community it is very impressive, we are all so lucky. The Solo Parent Conversations course I just completed has given me more than I could have imagined, excellent resources and methods, ways to think about how I might approach certain challenges and how to give my son (and all those around him) the best support possible going forward in this solo parenting world.

Great course and so well researched. Mel really gives time and tailored thought to everyone’s situations and there is a great balance between input and time for questions and discussions. So glad I did this before my daughter starts school and already using some of the techniques to talk about our family set up more confidently.

I really enjoyed and benefitted from this course. It was thought provoking and has triggered quite a lot of self reflection. I was particularly interested in what the latest research tells us and anecdotally what the views of DCP are. Always good to share ideas and resources with other solo mums. I thoroughly recommend it. Thank you Mel

I’m so pleased I came across Mel and The Stork and I at the start of my solo motherhood journey. I’ve completed and hugely benefitted from the Choosing Solo and Preparing to Theive courses, so was thrilled that Mel is now offering this Solo Parenthood Conversations course. My son is 10 months old and I’d got one of the DCN story books, which I was tentatively using to practice telling my son his origins, but my confidence in how to talk to him and to the people around us has taken a great leap since doing this course. I feel so much happier with sharing our story, and I feel confident now in how to handle any situation that may arise in the future. If you are wondering whether or not to do this course with Mel then I say absolutely do it; you’ll feel empowered by Mel and the info she shared and you’ll get to connect with other solo mums too!

I really enjoyed the recent ‘Solo Parenthood Conversations’ course. Mel shares lots of research and gives you the confidence to talk with pride about your solo motherhood journey to your child but also to other people including family, friends, school/nursery and acquaintances. It was great to link up with other solo mums in the WhatsApp group to share experiences and ideas for books. I would definitely recommend Mel’s courses and podcasts! Thanks Mel!

I already had my daughter when I discovered the wonderful Mel so I was so excited when she launched a course I could go on! I have found the Solo Parenting course really useful. Aspects of it confirmed my confidence and helped me feel comfortable with what I already share. Mel shared some brilliant insight backed by intensive research and it was great to hear other solo mums’ views on things. Highly recommend!

Mel is hugely knowledgeable on this topic and has a wealth of information to share. I am so pleased that I did this course – not only did it make me think about things I either hadn’t considered or had been thinking about in a different light, it also provided me with some very useful tools and most of all, a healthy dose of confidence in being able to approach the subject! Thank you, Mel! x

All of Mel’s courses are fantastic, but personally I thought that this was the most useful one yet. I was struggling with how to go about discussing my son’s conception with him (he’s only 3 months old but I wanted to be prepared!), and this course was immensely helpful. It covers so many different aspects which I hadn’t even considered, and provided so much useful advice. I now feel so much more confident in how to approach the topic with him, and everyone else I meet in day to day life. I highly recommend this course for anyone with a donor conceived child. Thank you so much Mel.

This course was really helpful for me. The research that Mel has done has taken away some of my fears and doubts about the future and the effect my choice to be a solo Mum has on my child. It was lovely to hear and share experiences. I would definitely recommend the course if you have doubts about if/how to communicate being donor-conceived with your child and the rest of the world. It has definitely made me more confident!
